A lot of the motion graphics I’ve created are actually incorporated into video projects that I’ve done. If you watch the video pieces in the Video Production page, you will see some of them there. The pieces posted below are stand alone pieces that I created.
Chistmas Themed NFTs
These are some NFTs that I created. They are seemlessly looping animations intended to be given in lieu of greeting cards. If you’d like to buy one or more, let me know and I will put some up on OpenSea.com. 😉
I created these using Maya, After Effects, and Element 3D. I created all the 3D models used in these pieces in Maya, and used Adobe After Effects, Trapcode Particular, Video Copilot Optical Flares and Element 3D to light and animate them.
2021 Southeast Emmy Awards Opening & Winner Animation
For their “2021 PandEmmies” and in celebration of the vaccine making it possible for people to go out without wearing masks, NATAS asked me to create a graphic showing the Emmy statue wearing a mask, and blowing off her face. They also wanted an animated After Effects graphic template that they could insert and display the names of the winners.
I created the statue-mask animation using Maya, After Effects, and Element 3D. I created the winner card animation using Photoshop, After Effects, and Element 3D.
2019 Southeast Emmy Awards Loop Animation
I created this motion graphic for the 2019 Southeast Emmy Awards this past Summer.
They asked me to create a “background animation” similar to the show open I created for them in 2017. I took the theme from this year’s program booklet cover design (45th Year Anniversary) and translated it into a 3D motion graphic.
This is an abbreviated version. The original 16 minute motion graphic loop was projected onto a large screen in the banquet hall during the 2019 Southeast Emmy Awards show for the duration of the 4-hour event.
I created this piece using After Effects, Element 3D, Maya, and Trapcode Form.
Chattahoochee Technical College: Web Video Motion Graphics
I created these motion graphics for a web video project for Chattahoochee Technical College. They were created using After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
2017 Graduation Loop
This motion graphic was created to be projected on screens at Chattahoochee Technical College graduation ceremonies. It is a looping graphic that played continuously. The images were inspired by the school’s existing graphics identity.
I created this piece using After Effects, Element 3D, Maya, Optical Flares, Saber, and Illustrator.
2017 Southeast Emmy Show Open
I created the animations for the NATAS 2017 Southeast Emmy Awards show open using After Effects and Element 3D. I used a purchased low resolution 3D model of the Emmy statue, imported it into Maya, and smoothed it to make it usable, and exported it as an OBJ file to use in Element 3D. I textured the model and applied the reflection map. Then animated the various camera moves, and added the particle system effects and added the Optical Flares effects to the particle system.
2016 Graduation Loop
This is a looping animation created to be projected on the stage projection screen during the CTC graduation ceremony. The mace featured in this animation is a 3D model I made of the actual mace used during CTC graduation ceremonies.
I created this piece using Maya, Adobe After Effects, Element 3D, Optical Flares, Illustrator, & Photoshop.
